I would say this symbol represents something new in your life, that will have a profound impact from here on in.  Could be anything, from a new hobby, to a new job, to a new car, but the happy emotion I would relate to the baby being something that makes you happy.  Walking alone with it, it is either something just for you, or else the dream is referring to your personal relationship with the symbol.  That is about as detailed I would go on the generic, the exact meaning relates to the dreamer + the other symbols throughout the dream.
