If dream catchers prevent bad dreams, does that mean they change destiny? Like say, turn prophetic dreams to happy ones?

Why not? Well, "prophetic" doesn't necessarily mean "bad", I've had prophetic dreams of happy events, too......
Prophetic dreams usually are so "weird" that you don't usually go about changing them - you just have them and that's it. If you consider the dream to be prophetic and "bad", then it's up to you in your waking life to do the best you can so that the dream doesn't come true - it may just be a warning to get you on the good road again, it doesn't NECESSARILY have to happen as you have dreamt. Hmmm, I hope this makes sense....
