Losing your teeth

Post by sno » Sun Mar 05, 2006 12:25 pm

Does this really mean your pregnant when you dream this? I get it quite a lot, is there any other explanation?

Maybe you have such dreams beacause you want to be pregnant or you don't want that?

A dream about one's teeth falling out usually symbolizes that the dreamer is having a challenge getting their voice heard, or feelings acknowledged. May be someone close to u or may be someone u r in contact with. Believe in the value of your own opinion, learn how to be less intimidated by aggressive people, and become more assertive.

I don't wanna scare anyone, but there's this native old belief that remains to be proved that losing one's teeth means death of a loved one. It's scary. But I've dreamed about it for like 5 times already, and so far nothing has happened bad :)

I'm sorry for scaring everyone, but i just posted it to let you know. Whenever people dream of losing teeth, they earn really scared reactions from the people they tell it to, and the moment they wake up, they're made to bite a wooden surface. I did that once. If it's not widely known, then this belief/omen must be just within my country?

i thought that when you were pregnant, you could consciously feel it, and it will be no need for a dream to tell you that.. what do you think sno?

I guess there would be no need for those £15 pregnancy test which sell like hot cakes if this were true?

I was talking to my mother yesterday and asked if she experienced morning sickness with me. She said no and furthermore she hadn´t even KNOWN she was pregnant until 6 months gone. She thought she was putting on weight, that is all!!!!!

I dreamt last night my teeth fell out, then only veneers (which I don´t have) fell out to reveal silver teeth (steel not silver). I occasionally have dreams about teeth falling out or decaying. If your teeth fall out in a dream it can mean to "lose parts of yourself" that are no longer required or worry about losing things you need.

The Element Encyclopedia of 20,000 Dreams by Theresa Cheung says,

"Dreaming about teeth falling out represents feelings of insecurity or inadequacy, and such dreams often occur at transition times in a person's life. This is because losing your milk teeth is associated with the loss of childhood innocence. The dream could also highlight anxieties about getting older. According to Jung, if a tooth is being pulled out in a woman's dream, this represents giving birth and in general it has associations with some kind of painful experience or loss that will lead to a new beginning. Animal teeth represent aggression and false teeth concern about self image."

I have never personally dreamed this but my husband does and he always seems to have some insecurity feeling from either childhood or troubled adult life.
As for me, I always seem to dream about the toilet and my enemy. Yucks!
