Lucid dreams can sometimes become lucid nightmares

Post by eye_of_tiger » Wed Jun 15, 2016 4:53 am

Most members will already know that a lucid dream is one in which the dreamer suddenly becomes conscious that they are dreaming. And most of you have heard all about the many wonders and advantages of us becoming a competent and regular lucid dreamer.

These positive lucid dream stories are all over the internet for you to find.

We are told that lucid dreams are thought to come from much deeper layers of our unconscious minds than are usually accessible during a non lucid dream, and that these areas contain vital information about our soul purpose, without which we are effectively like a boat without a rudder.

Lucid dreams are also promoted as an excellent and reliable launch pad for a person subsequently having an OOBE (Out Of Body Experience), which is also often only painted in a positive light as being the next best thing to having an orgasm, but this time outside of your physical body.

Scattered among all these positive accounts of lucid dreams there are also a number of deeply upsetting largely negative personal accounts, where a lucid dream has unexpectedly developed into a lucid nightmare. And this type of nightmare may not always end when we regain consciousness upon waking.

Now it is not my intention to discourage anyone who is reasonably emotionally stable and in touch with reality, to attempt to dream lucidly.  If the necessary precautions are observed, lucid dreaming can be put to many positive uses, and can potentially benefit the human species in many different ways.

Indeed it may turn out to be a way to safely accelerate one's spiritual awareness and evolution, as well as providing one method of discovering a renewed sense of purpose, which is bigger than just this body and this lifetime.

But if you are looking for the whole truth about lucid dreams, then please do a web search for the following article........

CAUTION SHOULD BE EXERCISED!!!!!!!

I must warn you before going to the above page that it is covered with advertising which is very distracting, and can quickly ruin your concentration upon the contents of the article itself.

Either click on the reader view symbol of your web browser (it looks like a book in Firefox's address bar), or try viewing the page in print preview mode.

The only downside of using these alternative views is that the links which will take you to the next page disappear.

Well I never said that these methods were perfect.

Anyway if you are interested enough in this topic to read the article from beginning to end (and put up with the advertisements) and would like to discuss the subject with other members, then please take this as your invitation to do so.

Thanks everyone,
