Sorry, Didn't see this forum till I looked all the way
through to the bottom, I  Ching does not get  a lot of attention!
A new twist is to combine the Oracle with a pelatively easy Tarot
reading or somtimes cartomacy or your Horoscope
I like to experiment with different things to give a more specific
read. Also some new ideas are good for promoting curiosity and research
into why things work the way they do!
The galaxy moves in circles as do the solar system and the sun evering
that happens was meant to happem. Carl Jung was fond of the I Ching
partially because he believed in sycronicity every thing happes for a
reason even the way the coins fall or the cards deal.

I ching

Post by lharri25 » Sun Sep 02, 2007 5:45 pm

There was a History channel segment on the end of the world.  It used the Hopi Indian calander, the Mayan calander, readings from Nostrodomus, and a computer generator, developed for pridicting stoke prices.  It also, referred to the Pope lineage, and finally the I Ching.  They ALL came up with the day the world was going to end as December 21 2012.  I am not trying to start a discussion on the end of days, what I want to know is how did the I Ching predict that date.  The program was very unclear about that.

McKenna created an algorhythm using the changes of the I-Ching.
Something like taking each hexagram and giving it a value. The whole idea came to him when he was really buzzed trying drugs in the Amazon.

If you want to see how he did it I believe the book is called "Invisible Landscapes". What I heard is when he first made it the end point came out around Nov. , then he he hears about the Mayan calendar so he tweaks his formula to come out on Dec. matching the Mayan calender.
