Psychic scams

Hello....I like to visit psychics quite a bit and get readings done but I'm wondering what kinds of things I should be aware of so that I am not getting scammed. I know certain things would make it obvious such as the psychic telling me things that are no where near to being accurate but what are some non obvious things to watch out for? Any tips would be appreciated!

All this being well intended to protect the vulnerable amongst us, I do take issue with the claim by one site that if I ask for your date of birth for a numerology reading, that I am actually using it along with your astrological birth sign to consult your daily horoscope, edit it to look as though it was written by me then claim that I received it as a message from Spirit.

Another one says that psychic readings should be a one off event. In other words it is saying that there should be no follow ups and a need felt by you to come back to the same reader.

Much of the work I do is made up of follow up readings, but the big difference between myself and a fraudulent psychic is that I do not want you to ever become so dependent upon me  that you no longer feel able to make your own mind up about what you feel is best or right for you, and I never charge for my readings so I can hardly be accused of wanting to steal all your money and get you coming back to me again and again to pay for my next round the world holiday, Olympic size swimming pool, or perhaps my personal Lear jet.

Actually my last holiday was back in 1982, several months before our daughter who turns 30 next Monday was born., I hate swimming pools, live on a disability pension and get terribly air and sea sick. There goes that theory.  :smt073

I therefore think that some of these points which they are using as criteria to decide if you are being scammed need a little work or fine adjustment in order be used to accurately and reliably sort out the trickery, from what is true and of lasting value to your soul.

I like to visit psychics at least once a year. I really enjoy having readings done but I definitely don't let it guide my life. I still do what I gotta do regardless of the advice given to me so I don't really use it for decision making. Just like a little guidance and it's nice to hear positive things from time to time just to keep hopes up!

I really could not agree any more with those sentiments, if I had said them myself.

Used wisely and responsibly, readings can be potent tools for spiritual development, as well as offering us a greater understanding about what makes us tick.
