Read through the notes in the Mediumship Development on Mystic Academy.  The beginning of all true mediumship is the psychic awakening and that is what the lesson cover.

Read and research. There are a lot of resources online that you can peruse for free. Reading these online resources can guide you into acquiring the knowledge and skills that you need in order to awaken your innate psychic abilities and become the best psychic that you can be. Finding a good teacher is also a good idea.  Spiritualism uses mediums during their services and are mandated to develop good mediumship.  It might be a good starting point.
