You can find many  websites to test your psychic ability. If you really have this ability, then it is a blessing from God and utilize it in a good way.

The tool used to open and develop is meditation.  In the alpha state of mind of meditation you are open to the spirit - yours and it can attune to the spirit realms wherein is guides and guidance.  Just be patient with self and watch it unfold in a take charge manner.

Some of the notes in the Mediumship under the Mystic Academy may give some hints to help with your development process.

when i prayed using a white candle something appeared i thing its a white feather but was burned by the candle... i wasnt sure that time whats that thing.. after i got the residue... i found out that it was a feather....

There are some tools that just bring negative energies - candles, mirrors, are two that come to mind.  What you open yourself to is not reaching beyond physical tools to a higher source.  

Try meditation using a scene in your own mind's eye.  Make it some place in nature to bring the calm and peace of nature into your mind for relaxation.  When an energy change happens (you will feel it within) it is time to invite your own guide with a symbol and a seat.  i.e. if you were meditating on a garden, you could pick a specific flower and concentrate to see your guide.  Providing a bench to sit upon in your private place would help as well to welcome the guide.
