Possession is a condition where a person is overwhelmed with emotions.  A statement would be "Being possessed by their emotions."  The words to supplement this would be "medium" and "soul" for "emotions".  For example, "My medium is possessed (by emotions)"  "My soul is possessed (by emotions)"  This is why ESP is defined in law as emotions to protect everyone that tries to abide by the law.

There is no sense in your posting.  We can all live by our emotions, that is personal choice.  Or we can live by the mind and seek solutions through logic.  Emotions can and do play a part in life.  The spirit needs neither the emotions or the mind.  Putting them into perspective would help you define your own path with more concern for self and others.
