A psychic is an emotional person.  These emotions are defined as E.S.P becausee it is the sith sense.  The five before them are touch, taste, smell, hearing, and sight.  So it is just natural in logic to say that emotions are the sixth sense.  The discipline of emotions can be religious, spiritual, or scientific.  I think the best way to a discipline of emotions is to study psychology.  Psychology teaches love, hate, regret, etc ,etc and also forms of emotional attack such as reflection, projection and anmesia.

In conclusion a psychic is a person that works with emotions more than other beings.

A psychic takes their emotions to the psychic level which also includes dispassion as well as compassion, discrimination as well as insight.  These things are necessary as a part of the whole picture of what psychics do and are in their own way.
