Trying to find my spirit guide

Hello I have been trying to connect with my spirit guide for some time now. Any ideas?

Many people have different ways of contacting  there Sprited Guide , i  found mine thru   Meditations   which i do every morning and  during the sunset .

I would say try meditations  if  that  dont  work  dont give up  keep  trying .

my friend kay came over from holland to visit me. hours later we walked past the phone box in town and it ran. i had to answer it .' have you seen kay?' asked her husband on the other end. she'd left him and hadn't even told him where she was going. he was ringing what he thought was my home number.
'yes here she is' i said. one year on they are still happilly married and i'm still quite freaked out.  i promise it's true.

by the way. you may notice by the pic, that Johnny Rotten is my hero but if i ever wanted a message from the other side it'd be from Sid Vicious. 21 years on this planet and he made such a big impact on the history of the world.

If a guide is there to guide, maybe there is NO need to see it or speak to it. It will communicate with you in ways you will understand when you need guidance. Otherwise, is it not a big distraction when you can be living life?

Hi, connecting with one's spirit guides seems to be a longterm quest to some people, if they want you to know who they are or what their names are they will tell you but, only when they are ready. Perhaps this should be more correctly when they think you are ready to be in possession of such information!

Regardless of which spiritual path you are on or intending to go on be happy that they ARE there and working for you - all the time. Your main spirit guide is with you always, not to decide for you - that's for you to do being given freewill. Their mission is to help guide you despite the direction you are on.

As a healer and like mediums we 'collect' more guides than the average person. These enable us to cope with perhaps unusual circumstances in whatever is presented before us. I know OF my main healing guide because a medium told me, but I know little else about him or the rest of them.

There are a few good meditations that you can use to connect to what you will perceive as your spirit guide

Others may call it your higher self and some the collective unconsciousness or library of records or akashic records. The connection is different to everyone and tailor made to suit you

Do you meditate?

Yes, I do meditate, but not as often as I ought or would like. Running our Spiritualist Church keeps me busy amongst many other things. Good job I am retired as there's no time for a proper job!

there are many ways to find a spirit guide.  most find it through meditation...others pray to idols....which take on a spirit that you pray for.  Always take care of the idol, never miss place it or miss treat it.

THERE ARE A FEW THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT CONTACTING YOUR SPIRIT GUIDES. SPIRIT Guides

Firstly - You already have contact with your guides. It may not be on this physical level but rather in other altered states of awareness.
Secondly - You could experience contact through dream state or your subconscious and superconscious.
Thirdly - It could be through obe state where you go to a special landscape of both your choosing and discuss things and to learn. They take you to these landscapes and you become pure energy as they are. Here they can do healing work and also have a special kind of physical contact.
There are different types of guides.
There are guides that you knew in a past life that have decided to stay back this lifetime and aid you in your journey. These guides have already learnt the lessons you are facing this lifetime and act of teachers for you to learn your lessons this lifetime. There are guides that come from other planets, dimensions, and realms that you once traveled with and experienced lessons in your past journeys. These guides still have the appearance, wisdom and understanding of your past life you lived. These guides aid you in remembering how important your journey is and help you to integrate your previous knowledge here on earth. These guides cannot effect changes on the physical because they are not physical beings. They can only offer you advice and wisdom. You need to go to them through astral travel to connect.

There are angels, shape shifters, sorceresses, witches etc that are dedicated to helping you create your dreams and goals, offer you protection, understanding and healing. Only a certain group of angels and guides have the power to effect changes on this level. There are good and bad in this section. Though in truth, in the higher realms good and evil does not really exist. More they are simply different types of energies that a soul integrates and learns from.
There is also a telepathic link to your soul group, family etc. This telepathic link enables you to keep in touch with your family. They may be existing here on earth or on other planets, dimensions and realms. This link enables you to keep in touch and also offer and receive wisdom and guidance. As they and you learn their/ your wisdom, they / you share this wisdom with you/ them. That is why many people wake up and discover they know something they did not know the day before. Your group collective share with you knowledge and your soul integrated this knowledge. There is a group of souls that are dedicated to sharing and teaching all the souls in this universe. These beings do not become close and or attached to you or your life personally. Rather they simply offer assistance without interference. These beings can be accessed at any time and work in our subconscious and as you grow in understanding can even be channeled in the physical. They are excellent communicators in the dream state. There are simply spirits that float close to this dimension that offer friendship, even love, advice and if they can, healing and protection. These spirits simply attach themselves to you and your quest. Maybe they experiences similar experiences and wish to help. As I said earlier, you already have contact with these beings. You have to bring your awareness and focus to how you are communicating with them. Through meditation, you are able to open your channels up and remember and see your guides. It takes sometimes time and practice. Although many people these days are reaching their spirit guides quickly.

Meditation
Make yourself comfortable...
Take slow, gentle breaths in and out through your nose...
Feel the air going into your lungs, feel the air releasing from your lungs......
Breathe in, breathe out... Breathe in, breathe out...
Place your focus and attention only on your breathing...Feel your body begin to relax...With each breath you take in, feel all the tension sift away from your body, leaving you calm, relaxed and peaceful...Your thoughts drift in and out through your mind...Let them flow until your mind is calm...Place a white protective bubble of energy around your whole body. This bubble protects you from any negative thoughts and energy...
Breathe in, breathe out. Breathe in, breathe out....Relax your body, relax your mind...Do not allow any noise hinder your meditation. Make it a part of your relaxation....
Place your focus and intent on wanting to reach first your own personal guides. Create a place where you can visualize in your mind and later obe to. Your guides can take on any shape. So at this point create how you would like your guide to look. In time they will take on their own form. But for now, you can control the physical features. For your first contact. Simply have a list of questions you want answered. Please understand the information may take days to filter from your higher self down to your physical being. It is important you keep a diary of any changes that commence after these meditations. Once you have reached a certain level of understanding and control with this form of contact. Your natural ability to contact your guides will filter through. Good luck.

I was quite lucky with mine,
She found me.
I was a young child and she was dressed in red, thats the only time I saw her in full form. For years I thought she was a ghost but a medium told me that it was my spirit guide.
To find her, I was told to meditate and picture a long corridor, and I had to knock on each door to find her. Now I just call her, she she senses I need her (especially when I'm scared of other spirits).
She's wonderful, one night I spoke to her for hours, and she actually entered my body, it was AMAZING!! Nothing else could compare, overwhelming, I cried afterwards, so much love and protection. I had goosebumps all over for hours.

But I want to get closer to her, I feel like I've made an impact but I want to learn more.
