Doing Research on a Murder..being led...

I found out about an entire family killed in 1934 about a mile from my house and I am obsessed by it... I am normally someone who hates that sort of thing.. like CSI.. I cant watch the show.. I get creeped out..
  I don't understand this facination.. do you think I am being led to flush this out?  The murder is solved... but somehow.. I need more detail.. and.... I gotta tell you.. while I was writting this... something moved in my room.....with no help....!
