Strange happenings in Oregon

there have been strange happening in the oregon. At least I think it was in Oregon. There was a place which is a tourist attraction where some kind of fields come together or something. As a result, once you cross some line you can appear shorter even if you're taller than the next guy and you stand on a (clear) slant even though it doesn't feel that way to you.

I just don't remember what the place is called but I thought it was in Oregon but it's definately out west. Hopefully somebody knows what I'm talking about.
