Human Being as Discourse - Between Rumi and ('my')Self in this case.

"Human beings are discourses. That flowing moves through
you whether you say anything or not. Everything
that happens is filled with pleasure and warmth, so you
feel the delight of the discourse - always ongoing."
(Rumi)

My own meditations are often more a discourse,
Compared to attempting to ‘still the mind’,
Firstly becoming ‘aware of Awareness’, of course,
Then investigating anything new that I ‘find’.

Identifying with the Radiant Aware Nothingness,
May often create a pleasant spinal sensation,
Preceding insights appearing in Consciousness,
The natural outcome of true identification.

On this Rumi said “I became empty, and ‘disappeared’
This emptiness more beautiful than existence,
It obliterates existence and yet when it has appeared,
Existence thrives and creates more existence.”

I am also more into investigation and realization,
Rather than just remaining entranced in Nothingness,
Also into enjoying and loving the manifestation,
So that these feelings may also appear in Awareness.

For in Nirvikalpa Samadhi all is one,
Total absorption in Brahman, The Absolute,
No one is left separate to enjoy the fun,
Or feel sensations however gross or minute.

“Why live soberly and feel you ebbing out?
I won’t do it, either give me enough wine
or leave me alone, now that I know how
It is to be conversing with you all the time.”
(Rumi)

A new poem based on a chapter of 'Fundamental Questions'.

I write (and read) these posts, based on my meditations and contemplations, as much for my own benefit as for that of 'others'. For this helps to keep me 'awake' in this illusory, and impermanent, world ... our perception of which is based purely on our physical, and mental, configuration.
