Wedded To The Divine

By relaxing deeply into the ‘corpse pose’,
And realizing there’s nothing to do or find,
Identification with Pure Awareness arose,
Flooding me with peace, stilling the mind.

‘Love Loving Itself'’* caused this to increase,
In which body and mind is used as an instrument,
For Consciousness to enjoy Itself in peace,
Aware of all thoughts and sensations that present.

For when ‘awake’ we can feel the bliss
Of living, which we generally miss,
Resulting in loving one and all,
Wheresoe’er our senses may ‘fall’.

This brought to mind the wedding vow,
“I thee wed, with my body I thee worship”,
Overwhelmed with adoration, that is how
Into ‘mystical union’ my mind did slip.

Paradoxical, for with true identification
We see that Consciousness is One.
But although there is no separation,
It appears as ‘the many’ just for fun.

This bliss of adoration is part of this fun,
For when identified with Awareness Pure,
By sensual experiences we’re not ‘undone’,
Offering them to The Absolute the cure.

So mind/body is used by That to enjoy and ‘know’
Its wonderful manifestation.
Christians also are enjoined to worship and show
Appreciation for God’s creation.

*A practice where Consciousness uses the body/mind as an instrument to 'know' and 'love' itself in both modes - at rest as Pure Awareness and in motion as Cosmic Energy.

A poem from 'Poetry From Enlightenment Is For All' based on a chapter of 'Enlightenment Is For All'.

I write (and read) these posts, based on my meditations and contemplations, as much for my own benefit as for that of 'others'. For this helps to keep me 'awake' in this illusory, and impermanent, world ... our perception of which is based purely on our physical, and mental, configuration.
