Where do I start with Chakras?

Hello,

I've been reading up on Chakras recently. I have been feeling very disconnected from the world with severe anxiety and depression. From taking the online tests, it seems that I have the most trouble with the root and throat chakras. I am not sure where I should go from here. I would really appreciate any good book or video recomendations, or suggestions on what type of specialist to see.

Basically- what is the best way to go about healing Chakras?

Try Reiki - the best healing modality to balance the Chakras.
And, please, have a few sessions of it too, not just one.

Hey, first I can so relate with those feelings!

I agree with reiki. I have only actually had one reiki treatment and every one of my chakras were closed (maybe partially because this woman was a stranger and I do that around strangers! But also I was VERY shut off from the world growing up and I'm still gradually crawling my way out of that state) But I found I definitely need to have regular sessions to help a case like that! Closed chakras that are used to being closed will just shut again! So you do need to constantly work on them and let them adjust to being open. It's definitely an ongoing process.

What I suggest, and this is one thing I'm doing (since I can't afford regular reiki sessions)--doing yoga. I went into Mystic Scripts on here and found something called "chakras yoga" and I'm going to try it. I would suggest though taking a class from an instructor before trying yoga on your own if you aren't familiar with it already. But this skript is really cool since you take the test and it tells you which chakras to focus on, and then gives you positions that will open those specific chakras. I knew that my lower chakras have always been my biggest challenge. But I was totally surprised to find it told me my throat chakra is open! But now this makes sense to me, because I have spent the past three years really working on self expression and communication. I certainly don't believe my throat chakra is free of problems, but I can see how it must be in much better shape right now than my lower chakras. There also seems to be a few other scripts on chakras that I haven't checked out.

I have also bought a collection of nine semi precious stones, each relating to one of the seven chakras as well as one for the base and one connecting you to the heavens. I don't know if this really does anything at all, but if anything it work on a psycho somatic level. If I feel I really want to concentrate specifically on one of my chakras when I wake up in the morning, I will visualize it opening, and I will carry the stone relating to that chakra in my pocket for the whole day. I feel like just having that physical object empowers my intention for the day, so I do think it helps and pays off, even if it is only doing a little and not fixing me all of a sudden. I also have been wearing a necklace with a moonstone pendent (real moonstone not that fake glass stuff) which I feel is great for anxiety (again, even if it's just in my head...I don't know for sure) I really recommend moonstone though! With the semi precious stones you can also lay down and meditate with the stones over the chakras you want to balance or clear and just concentrate on clearing them for that session. I also know some people will sit up straight, and visualize each chakra, moving up through the spine as they open each one with a particular visualization, like a flower pedal opening or a wheel beginning to spin, or something like that.
