Culpepper's - a fascinating herbs book

Post by aelis2004 » Mon Aug 01, 2005 9:48 pm

One of the best herb books around and still one of the best.... I bought my copy many years ago at a remainders bookshop for just a few pounds, in a modern facsimile edition. It's still the book I use most frequently when I look up herbs. There is a description of each plant, descriptions of its properties and how to use them. It also explains how to make infusion, decoctions, etc.
Culpepper was a 17th century English doctor, who wrote this herbal. It should also be illustrated with images of most of the herbs described in the book.
