This is the second one I found on my blog the first one under a different name I deleted as I was furious.  Still very angry but want something done about it.  Is there any thing I can do my to protect my blog from such occurances?

unfortunately these are bots... mostly human bots :( and there is very little we can do about it right now. but i am looking into ways to stop this and other types of post on the forum.

Have restricted replies to Registered users for now.

go to your "My Blog CP" >> http://mysticboard.org/weblog_config.php and scroll down to where you see Show and Enable Shoutbox: and then click "NO" ... this will disable your shoutbox and this kind of spam.

Glad I did that a while ago, but this message came up as a reply to one of my blogs.  It is all soughted now only Registered users can reply now, sad but true just means every one will have to register if they want to reply to my blog.

Alot of us had to do that as well..
It will keep your blog cleaner, and you can change it to Friends only you add the friends you want to only see your blog... or just you~!!

We need to monitor our own blogs.... Fair enough. I had my blog open
to the public and I got them too.
The moderators here are very quick to delete them from the forum
boards.   I think it must be the first thing they need to do
every morning...
I have started to recognise which new posts are Spam by the
nature of the names these people chose.

Thanks Evie haven't had the problem for a while though, so it doesn't worry me any more.  I have other things that concern me now, such OMG less then 5 weeks to go...lol....and my computer not wanting to work.  Come to think of it I really haven't checked my blog for a while so who knows what has happened to it...lol
