I really would like to find people in my area who are into this area. But I have no idea how to find
people without getting hassled. Wicca is still not popular in this area. Any tactful ideas?

One option is www.meetup.com
That's how I found other pagans in the state i live in, several in the area I live in.
Another I used was Google tool bar
I typed in the name of the town, the state i lived in, and the word coven and it brought me some sites. I clicked on witchvox.com that had several meetings listed and clicked on the one that corresponded to where I live.
