Hexes pentagrams

is there anyone out there with any ideas on the diffrent points in stars, ie 8,6,5 etc.

I have been doing somelooking into these and ive crafted a form called a dial. It somewhat idea based on those pentagrams with the sigils arround the pointed star, most seem to have a circle of power arround them,

I hear thinghs you have to look out for are red stars and the baphomett.

Ive been able to establish a procurative means of protection, and i was wondering if anyone had more ideas.
