Medical Marijuana

:smt014 Does Medical Marijuana qualify as homeopathic? It is a natural remedy for many ailments and I would think that it does.

Medical Marijuana

Post by Livs » Wed Sep 10, 2008 11:15 am

Hi,

Medical marijuana can only be considered Homeopathic if it meets the principles of Homeopathic prescribing and administration. This would include dilution/potentisation/sucussion and selection of remedy based on individualisation and matching similarity of symptom picture of the patient with a remedy.

Regards, Livs.

marijuana is alternative medicine <has many uses> but not considered homeopathic

Homeopathic practitioners maintain that an ill person can be treated using a substance that can produce, in a healthy person, symptoms similar to those of the illness. According to homeopaths, serial dilution, with shaking between each dilution, removes the toxic effects of the "remedy" while the qualities of the substance are retained by the diluent (water, sugar, or alcohol). The end product is often so diluted that it is indistinguishable from pure water, sugar or alcohol.[2][3][4] Practitioners select treatments according to a patient consultation that explores the physical and psychological state[5] of the patient, both of which are considered important to selecting the remedy.[6

Homeopathic Marijuana

Post by sergiorvil » Tue Dec 02, 2008 3:27 am

Hi there;

Homeopathic dosent means herbal or natural only, it means infinitesimal doses, and the substance can be mineral, vegetable, animal, imponderabilia, etc.
There is a confusion about this subject, there is and homeopathic remedy made with marijuana and its name is Sativa cannabis and Sativa Indica (hachis), with opposite effects of the allopathic marijuana.

Medical Marijuana would not qualify as homeopathic... For a number of reasons.

1. Marijuana exists. Homeopathic 'stuff' is diluted past the point where it even exists in the water its 'added' to
2. If it were Homeopathic, it would be used to treat the opposite of what it does now...

so if Medical Marijuana was used homeopathically, it would probably be used to treat people who had NO PAIN..!!!!
and it would be diluted so much that 1 bud would be enough to supply a whole country with a lifetime supply..

If this isn't a good enough reason to doubt Homeopathy on the whole, you might want to look at the scientific data.
