hello,
just a few days ago..someone told me that i have some nagdosh. what does it mean? and how will it affect me ?

i remember that you're a scorpio ascedent with ascedent lord(mars) in 8th house.

mars in ,2,4,5,7,8,12 is considered evil for ur ascedent

weak nerves, bones and excess heat in body.

blood defects, fickle mind and fearsome attitude

u mean all these are the effects of naagdosh? u had advised me to carry water whenever i went out and i do. my mother was telling about doing some puja? i cudnt understand.
i hope it isnt anything too bad:)

The planet which signify the serpents is Rahu. The placement of Rahu in different parts of the horoscope and the evil influences it exerts show variety of troubles due to wrath of serpents.

Placement of Rahu in 4, 6, 7, 8, 10, 12 house requires additional attention.

Your badhakesh is moon which is aspected by rahu and if Rahu is connected in any way with Badhakesh, it becomes extremely diabolical. The dasa of such Rahu could be extremely troublesome. Whenever such placement occurs, remedial measures are compulsory.

RAHU IS NOT IN 5TH HOUSE,IT IS IN 5TH SIGN LEO AND IS IN 10TH HOUSE

Judge your self.
You are a Software Engineer. Rahu helps in devoloping quick logics. and as a software enginer you are more logical. So what ths Naga Dosha to do with your horoscope. Moreover as  far traditional hearsay, still there is no naga dosha as Moon falls out side the preview of this dosha.
Naga Dosha or Kaala Sarpa yoga is the mythe created by the new generation of astrologer.
This is my logic as far as NagaDosha is concerned

Naag dosh is about evil MARS in ur chart.
MARS himself is NAAG/snake.

he controls the bone structure, basically the backbone.

the snake(s)(energies in yoga) that crawl up and down our spine are rahu-ketu.

the weapon in the hand of lord subramanya  is called VEL and he's called shaktivel.
that vel itself is our backbone with the top of the weapon being our brain.

Actually the Briahad Prahsar Hora Shastra is very difficult to understand. I feel few pages of my books are missing.
"Can you quote the Shloka number and page number of  'Brihad Prahsr Hora Shastra' where the description of the Nagadosha is given.
