Hey , I wanna know more about marana karaka sthana . I myself hav Rahu in the 9 th house with the moon in kumba . aspected by jupiter in the first house .  can someone shed som light on marana karaka sthana .

The specific most malefic positions of planets capable of causing death like suffering are as follows: the Sun in 12th, the Moon in 8th, Mars & Mercury in 7th, Jupiter in 3rd, Venus in 6th, Saturn in 1st, Rahu in 9th house from Lagna (or Dasa Rasi). Such positions of planets are called “Marana Sthana” and the planets become Marana Karaka (Death Inflictors). When such death inflictors is in conjunction with or aspected by Malefics or in inimical or depression signs, great grief is sure to come.

Marana means death, Karaka means significator or the doer and Avastha means the State. So the term Marana Karaka Avastha would mean death-inflicting state of a planet. By now it must be clear from the quote of Pt. Sanjay Rath that when planets are placed in some specific houses of the zodiac, it attains the status of death inflictor. However, the immediate question that follows is- why shall the planet attain the status when placed in some specific houses in a horoscope.

Hi Swapnil ji ,Whitey ji and everyone,

This is one of the topic i have not got very good proofs of .
I have not found this logic working very well at the level
(at least what it means literally:- Death Inflicting positions)
which it has been shown or claimed to work. I may be missing
out something.

I myself has got Moon in 8th house and i have not seen anything
related to death infliction in my case and few more cases which
i hve gone thru where marana karka sthan position of
planet is present.

I would appreciate others input too.

  I agree with U  fully over this point. I too have moon in 8th house. I too didn't come accross any such difficult situations till now by the grace of GOD. . Iam also interested to  know the views of others over this point.

Hi Raman,

I'll have to agree with you. I myself have two planets in marana karka sthan positions : Shani in 1st (along with Sun) and Moon in 8th.

By God's grace, I have been alright so far. I do tend to catch a cold quite frequently, but that's about as far as it goes.

Can u verify.Have u faced some major physical trouble during 2008-09.
Any disease or when u need to be hospitalised
Please confirm this.

Raman Deep ji,

As far as I can recollect, I never needed to be hospitalised in the 2008-09 period.
Around Dec 2007, a simple cough I had was misdiagnosed and almost resulted in pneumonia. But just a syrup and some tablets for about a week brought things back to normal.
Dec 2009, I contracted viral fever. Again, just took pills for about a week.
Those are the two major illnesses I've had in the recent past. Apart from that, it's only been a minor cough or cold.

well, when I was younger I had pneumonia for which i had to be hospitalised more than once.
I've had diseases, most relating to the throat..... cough, cold, tonsils and physical injuries now and then, but I was never hospitalized for anything. And I had jaundice once, that's about all.

pneumonia i don't know about, maybe till i was 2-3 or younger.  tonsil problems till about 10.
jaundice was around 1995  I think.
I've had no major disease after that as far as I can recollect.

Marana karaka is a planet and marana Sthana is a house or rasi.  There is no marana karaka sthana.

The dictums should not be applied as it is.  In astrology books, it is said,  that in a person’s chart,  how many planets are found in seventh house or with seventh lord, the person will have that number of marriages or conjugal happiness with that number of persons.

If it is said or predicted to a male person he may be very happy and parents also feel, Oh my boy is very potent.  But if it is said to a girl or her parents, they wont leave us only with harsh words.

Like this chandrashtama wont kill us. In a month, for every lagna the Moon will be in eighth for two and half a days appro.

Now for Kumbha lagna people Sani will the in 8th for 2 and half years.

Hi Babul ji,
I think u are trying to explain about markesh.
Actualy as far as i remember that Marana Karaka Sthan is not mentioned in BPHS
and has come up in last few years.

According to this dictum there are houses in Chart where particular
Planet is said to follow this dictum of:- marana karka sthan
Literaly meaning  :- Death Inflictin planets.Which means planets  become KARAKA of death in
those houses(STHAN)

For example:- Jup in 3rd house, Rahu in 9th house , sat in lagna and so on..

This is a controversial dictum.Though i m not sure of this dictum's validity but
im sure this does not work DIRECTLY. thus death infliction in not the right word
to be applied here .
There must be something more in this dictum.

where it is clearly mentioned that dont take the things Literaly

How can you say so can you expalain it as per my view it is far more deep meaning in it

Also when it come to AK post i have more to debate on it  i am just waiting for you to complete so that i can put on my views

Dont take it as my ahamkaraka take it as my nature to understand things in depth

For eg

How one write about atmakaraka with his own experience about it i will put things on my understanding better we discuss than debate
