The planet Earth must have been taken as 'US' or 'I'.

Re: WHY?
But, neither **US**, nor *I* are part of the alphabet or rather alpha-numeric of astrology, which are nascent and must not be confused with interpretations of the alphanumerics, of which there are so many, as we both must have run into, over the years...?RishiRahul wrote:Rohiniranjan wrote:WHY is planet earth missing from astrology?

I sometimes wonder as to why in Devnagri which is a sacred script in which many sacred scriptures got written, the alphabet does not contain the All-encompassing letter that we pronounce as the pranav-mantra...!
aka, {Love and Light}!

Re: WHY?
Okay. Okay. What I meant was that: I am in Earth or I am Earth...... and am seeing/observing the planets in my birthchart, which are away from the Earth.Rohiniranjan wrote:But, neither **US**, nor *I* are part of the alphabet or rather alpha-numeric of astrology, which are nascent and must not be confused with interpretations of the alphanumerics, of which there are so many, as we both must have run into, over the years...?RishiRahul wrote:Rohiniranjan wrote:WHY is planet earth missing from astrology?

Excluding me, of course! Otherwise it might sound like a tongue-in-cheek question, since I asked...!RishiRahul wrote:Open to/for anyone.....

AE, and other silent ones! Perhaps you have the same question as well! Or better still, you might have the answer...!

Actually there should be more than 1 angle to 'why earth is missing in astrology, I guess.:
First one is astrological; the other being philosophical maybe.

Oh simply because I began the thread with a question that I seek answers from you allRishiRahul wrote:Why exclude you, the author of the thread? & you seem to imply that *astrology* is separate from *philosophy*, but think for a moment, is it?
Much of what astrology as it stands is perspective based? Planets are never really retrograde, nor is there any real *combustion* (planets are too far from the sun to get burnt) and the houses have no meaning other than convention, some may say? Even physical reality is 3-dimensional (for the most part!), yet we use a perception of astro*logy* which is rather 2-dimensional? Think for a moment: the constellations appear in certain shapes in our 2-dimensional perception (due to distances involved from the stars), but even in a 3-D plane, they might actually have a very different shape and configuration!
So, pretty much all we call astrology is dripping with philosophy and perceptional in basis!

Without the application of philosophy the application of astrology is far from complete.
Rather Philosophy cannot be separated from most crafts, if not all.
For an example: The philosophy of Jaimini adds Flavour to the Parashari.
Now, now, let me avoid controversies!
My older son had taken 'controversy theories' as the extra subject...Ha ha!
First I need to understand what is 'microcosmos' at first.
I think I understand it wrong.

Co-incidence theories is what might help more than controversy theories!RishiRahul wrote:Rohiniranjan wrote:Oh simply because I began the thread with a question that I seek answers from you allRishiRahul wrote:Why exclude you, the author of the thread? As Above So Below
Inner being a reflection of the outer?
Now the astrological question, since you seem to be besmitten by astrology
Lagna vs Arudha! Which is outer, what is inner...?
