Sun sign compatability

Post by caithiggs » Tue Mar 29, 2011 9:52 pm

Does anybody else notice patterns in their life about how they attract or get along with certain sun signs in certain ways?

For instance, I notice that I am always deeply infatuated by Saggitarius native males, but they always show signs of being less in love with me than I of them. Yet I have found that Aries natives are always more attracted to me than I of them. I feel incompatible with Scorpios on a love level, and am even turned off by their energy in that sense (though they make great friends). And I make the most lasting and true friendships with Libra females, who always tend to have the biggest affect on my life and personality of anyone I know. I also notice the majority of female friends that I and my twin sister share mutually are Sagittarius--but I don't make connections with them the way I do Libra females or Sagittarius males. It is interesting that these tend to be the people who have the most influence on my life.

I don't think this has to do with me being Gemini, but probably has to do with a lot of other factors in my chart. I assume it is unique to everyone despite their own sun sign. But I have definitely recognized distinct patterns with how I relate to sun signs (and differently between male or female of the same sign) in my life.

You're right, there's many factors aside of Sun sign, but you have to take a look at your own chart to see what parts of your chart these particular signs hit. I'll give some examples for me - I've always loved Aquarians and used to think it was just because I was a fellow air sign, Libra, but my Jupiter is in Aquarius, and most of the Aquarians I've had great relationships with had their Sun conjunct my Jupiter (and this is true for not just Aquarius Suns, but with any Aquarius personal planet person or Aquarius rising). I also have difficulty with Leo Suns, yet have always been wildly attracted to Leo risings - my Jupiter falls on/in their 7th house. Taurus Suns have always been challenging to me, sometimes positively and sometimes negatively, but it's never a light relationship with them - my North Node falls in Taurus and conjuncts my DC. I also have an affinity for Pisces Suns, and I'm a Pisces Moon (that one's a little simpler lol).

You need to understand there is far far more to astrology than just ‘sun signs’ firstly there are 10planets in the sky and 12houses and any one of these 10planets can be in any one of these 12 houses – so there’s 144 possible combinations there –

synastry and chart comparisons is a complex and specialised field of astrology. Sun sign astrology is 'pinch of salt' stuff of newspapers and magazines and bears little resemblence to the reall art, science and craft....
