Confused with time zones.. Pls. Help..

Post by kitkatphoenix » Mon May 14, 2007 1:56 pm

Hi everyone! First, I would like to thank anyone who could shed some light to my questions :)

My Birth details are: 6/6/75 Manila, Philippines 6:18pm

I am kinda confused about the time zones. I know how important it is to have the exact time of birth but when i input my birth details,  some chart generators would say that:

1. my Venus is in Leo and some would say that my Venus is in Cancer, and
2. some would say that my ascendant is in Leo and some would say that my ascendant is in Sagittarius..

Which one is correct?

thanks again and bless you all :)

Time Zone

I input your data into Solar Fire, and it lists Manila's time zone as "Australian Western Time" (-8 GMT).  Is that your time zone?
And is there a daylight savings time at this time of year (ie, June 6)?  It will make a slight difference.

This time puts your ascendant in Sag and your venus in Cancer.
Hope this clarifies,

thanks for the reply Gentlesorp!  :smt003

during my birth there was no daylight savings time and our timezone in Manila is 8 h eastern or +8 hongkong time...

There's the discrepancy

You're welcome!
Ok that's what is making the difference:

-8 GMT:  Puts your asc at Sag.
+8 GMT:  Puts your asc at Leo and Venus in Libra.

I believe this is the right one.  I'm not sure why my program thinks you are in -8 time zone, but it's safe to say you'll probably have to double-check this anytime you input your data again.
