8th House

Hi.  First of all which planets? What sign is on the cusp?

An active 8th house in general can mean you are very active or interested in the Metaphysical.  Dealing with other's money.   Goods of the Dead.  Heightened interest in sex.  I wasn't sure if you mean that Pluto in Virgo is in the 8th but if so, sex can be a very rejuvinating experience.  Very powerful.  Could mean inheritance.

This is very general.  The astrological chart must be taken as a whole.

Hope this helped.  :smt006

I agree with everything that doesn't have to do with metaphysics and sex.

Generally the Eighth house is that of the unconscious, so it could point to unconscious actions or desires.  Also the house of death, greif, and anguish, so you've probably been through your share of troubles before and reinvented yourself after each particular period has passed.

Blanket statements are no fun. :(

probably that you are a healer of some sorts.it infers an interest in the psychic rather than religious arts.It means that you have an ability to understand others at a very deep intimate psychic level.an unworldly, benevolent attitude,a recluse. However the negative sides of this placement can give a proclivity to service  others through sex, drugs.Aslo there is an aptitude for banking, thriftyness, calculation and taxes etc.Shared resources,,maybe an interest in communal living.Wanting to be of use to  a greater group..rather than close freinds,or relatives.Virgo can be resolutely relationship shy.and is happy to be of service to others in these matters, and then go off on ones own way./although it all depends on what the planets are.....malefics like mars, could create a military attitude..and an interst in after death states....such as communication with the dead(spiritualism).....priesthood...hope this helps...Cmoon

Astrologically, the eighth house asks us to enlarge or sacrifice our ego boundaries in order to enter into relationship or union with another or others. To do so, some aspect of our personality or ego must die. Usually it is some thing, not some one, that dies, and with the passing away of that limiting aspect of our personality we experience a releasing freedom.

Herein is the second aspect of this house: resurrection and rebirth. The eighth house rules personal evolution, growth, transformation and change, death, rebirth, sex, possessions of a relationship, legacies, inheritance, taxes, rituals, initiations and the occult, the astral body and reincarnation, and the severing of ties to that to which we are attached. A planet in the eighth indicates that a personal facet of your psyche is under pressure to work more cooperatively or jointly with others. Many planets here signify a person whose life can be characterized by change. Such individuals may find continuous states of affairs monotonous, and periodically bring about changes or crises to feel truly alive.
