Venus in Scorpio

Post by Leof » Tue Jun 23, 2009 11:32 am

I've read conflicting information on what effect this tends to have on it's natives. I typically avoid pop-astrology descriptions but it's hard to say on this one. Some sources I have read say a person born with this in their chart use sexuality to their own gain like a relationship alpha-dog and try to manipulate others in fear of what happens if they show their true feelings. Others say someone with this will be fully devoted to whoever they fall in love with and desire them completely. Does anyone have any input or personal knowledge of this? I guess both are possible but considering the other traits associated with scorpio I would assume the later to be more likely.

Venus in Scorpio can be all of the above, BUT what adds lots of influence is where in the 12 houses venus is placed and the mathematical aspects it makes...

Basic astrology
Now basically your sun sign is your 'core beliefs, values, ego' and Asc is your physical body, mode of expression and mask and persona that we all wear and hide behind, but definitely not what's going on underneath. What's going on underneath is your Sun sign. Moon sign, house placements and aspects describe your emotional and intuitive responses, also describes your view of your mother, as saturn describes your father by sign and house position.

So, think of a glass milk bottle the bottle is your Asc and your sun the milk, but the milk still has to 'come out' through the glass neck of the milk bottle....

Now aspects within a natal chart represent 'facets' of our personality, because we are all multifaceted beings. What these do is 'break down and compartmentalise' these facets into smaller bite size chunks. This does take quite a lot of self analysis and objectivity to 'see yourself' and why you do certain things and behave in certain ways. Actually it can be quite good therapy...

Venus in scorpio can be stubborn, jealous, posessive, controlling, play mind games by loyal. BUT for instance if venus is conjunct Saturn will act and behave totally differently cos Saturn limits, restricts, withholds, shrinks and feels unloved from childhood and may always feel they have to 'give out' twice as much love as that they receive back... Venus conjunct Uranus is the 'divorce asepct' someone who needs lots of freedom and independence within relationships Venus conjunct Neptune, wears rose tinted glasses and quite often feels disillusioned with romance.....

I have Venus in the 29th degree, in Scorpio, in the 8th house. I always know when someone likes me, and I am also very picky.

I can be stubborn, jealous, posessive, controlling, and play mind games, but I have not been with someone to really bring that out, but I know it's there.

I also have Venus conjunct Uranus, but it is a wide orb. As far as divorce goes, I will celebrate my ten year anniversary this year. However I am having my Saturn return with Uranus in opposition, and times are getting a little tough.

Wow this is interesting stuff.. I didn't really believe it, also not a fan of 'pop astrology' but perhaps there really IS somthing in it, I mean, so many people do follow it and see some kind of ongoing  coincidences etc.

I have mars in Scorpio....

Was married to a Venus in Scorpio......never again......I don't like them.
....Venus is in its opposite sign fall in that sign......its a dark malific and negative placement...Venus does not belong in that sign ....actually its quite uncomfortable there.......an analogy would be as oxymoronic as Lucifer feeling warmth in his heart....its a paradox....Lucifer's heart is ice cold...so too is Scorpio's "love" cold there.......its an evil placement ..... Probably from past karma ........those people are horny as shit too....my cousin and best friend has it....... He was a stripper an actor on bay watch....... A porn actor......been with 311 women........horny as a spider monkey on yohimbe and cialis combined....lost his 1 testicle in a motor cycle accident and is still always errect...even while doing mundane things...they were not loyal to me.....both males and females betrayed me when none else did.....many of them........so what you read in the books about them being loyal to the death...is absolute bullshit....that is why there's a big difference between reading this stuff and living this stuff

if venus is within 5' orb of 9th house cusp then it should be interpreted in 9th house not 8th. Planets in SIGNS are not islands and cannot function alone (unless unaspected of course). Just remember planets are modified by signs, where they express are houses and HOW they express are mathematical aspects. So any planet/s can be afflicted by generational/malefic planets like Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto and this would seriously modify how the planet would function.

So planets in signs (so often asked about on here) means very little, its *MORE IMPORTANT* to research the mathematical aspects as to how a planet expresses. For example any planet can be helped by a soft aspects (sextile 60’ and trine 120’) from the great benefic Jupiter.

So planets IN signs tell you *didly squat* and all you will ever get is generic cook book interpretations. So if that's ALL you want, superficial cook book then be my guest.
