well, i had done a small course on hypnosis when i was in college. and i'll tell you this much, it doesnt work the way we think it does. for starters the person you want to hypnotize must be willing... you can not hypnotize a unwilling person.

Does it mean they have to be willing to be hypnotised or willing to do the things you tell them to when they are hypnotised?

that means you have to be willing to be hypnotised... only then comes the question of the person doing what you want him/her to do.

Yes, see we have Paul Mckenna in England and he used to do shows where he pretty much humiliated the people that were hypnotised.  But he did claim that they woudlnt do the things he told them to do if they didnt want to.  That he onlyput suggestions into their head and did not in anyway remove their inhibitions.  I never bought it though, I think that you could get someone to do whatever you wanted if they were hypnotised.

Yes, it's a worry though isn't it, maybe some people in prison for their crimes were hypnotised?  I think there are different types of hypnotism too, like cults, if the leader has enough carrisma I dont think they actually need to be hypnotised ...

We live in a world in which we are hypnotised and mind controled every day by the stereotipes of our century T.V and Internet.
Many things are being inoculated in our brains without our agreament, and many of our actions are started by those things.

Here is a link for learning hypnotisim. I've done quite a bit of research on this -- I would'nt say I'm 100% right but i'm pretty confident in my answer -- Its been my conclusion that when under hypnosis that you cannot truly make someone do something they would normally not do, a good example would be under stage hypnosis - someone who would never, under any circumstances or for any reason, prance around naked on stage - no matter the skill of the hypnotist - if that person wouldnt do that for any reason it just wont happen. I think where people get confused is when they see someone doing things they dont think that person would do -- but with enough suggestion they would do them. Charisma would also play a role because some people can be charmed and would increase the response from the hypnotic state. :) These are just my opinions and conclusions.

Completely, It can can causes alot of psiquiatric problems, you know some countrys used it torturate other enemies and it works and actually hypnotizing someone can do anything I mean anything, its not a question of option you get completely out of yourself and the only thing the hypnosis do is using low planes of you like phisical/spiritual/mental/emotional no more no less all can be used.
If one they someone humiliates you, the other day your name will shine.
Your vain is my fame.

Hypnosis in itself is not harmful, I've used it quite a lot and it hasn't destroyed my life yet. I wish some people could get there facts right before they even try to explain something.
