Would you like me to give you a life purpose reading?

Post by eye_of_tiger » Thu Feb 07, 2013 11:01 pm

Dear Stephanie,

As you should already know the only person who gave past life readings on MB ( MangoMum) has not posted to these boards for many months, and we have no idea as to when or if if she will be returning to us.

Why you are here now (your life purpose or mission) is something entirely different, and should not normally require a past life reading to be given. It is important to always first look for one's life purpose in this current life time, before automatically resorting to past lives for your answers.

A life purpose reading could possibly provide you with some preliminary clues with regards to pointing you in the right general direction as to determining what your main life challenges could be during this life which you are living now.

But most of the answers will only progressively come to you through your own direct first hand experience, rather than you being told what your purpose is by someone else such as myself or for that matter by any other reader.

Would you therefore like me to give you a life purpose reading, to begin the process of discovering why you are alive?

L&L,

Your life purpose reading

Post by eye_of_tiger » Fri Feb 08, 2013 11:42 pm

Dearest Stephanie,

I certainly hope that you do not see your life purpose to be the occupation which you have included in your forum profile (Loser) because whom you believe that you are effectively tells other people to treat you accordingly. What you have written there probably seems relatively harmless and a bit of light entertainment at your own expense, but whom we tell ourselves we are on a regular basis can both define and restrict what happens to us for the rest of our adult life.

However having said this your reading does recognise that many people young and older are lacking in self worth like you are, and with all the negativity which we are constantly bombarded with every waking hour, it is understandable that we may not be feeling particularly confident that we can successfully meet the many significant challenges with which our life presents us.

Now when most of us request a life purpose reading we are actually asking the reader what job would I be good at. Or what job would I be likely to make a success of and earn a reasonably comfortable living out of it in the process. When you are in your late teens and 20 something years young it is the phase of your life where you are meant to be thinking about such matters and wondering if there is any occupation which would fit in well with your personality, education, interests and relevant past work experience.

Consequently I hope that you will not be too disappointed to discover that this is NOT going to be a career reading. I would be pleased to give you one of these in the future if I have not done so already, but rather than your most likely occupation which only describes a part of who you are deep down in your soul,  this reading  is wanting to look more at the bigger picture of who Stephanie really is, and not at its individual pieces as such.

A large number of people make the fatal mistake of defining who they are exclusively by the work which they do in an attempt to earn an honest living which may be a big part of why chronic depression and suicide is more common among the long term unemployed and people who have not only retired from their jobs, but also from life itself. At social gatherings people often begin a conversation with the polite question "so what do you do to earn a living".

Our society seems obsessed with the idea that if a person does not currently have a well paying job and one which is recognised by them as being worthwhile and of good repute, then that individual is basically a waste of space and energy. What a tragedy this is that so many otherwise good and talented people are thrown on the scrap heap of society, when within them exists the potential to be so much more than they are branded as by people who have never made the effort to really get to know and understand them.

And we are so much more than just what job we will do. We have a rich spiritual heritage and entire soul history behind us which stretches back over possibly thousands or millions of years, and possibly the same number of lifetimes, human and non human. In many of these past incarnations our "job" and perhaps sole purpose was to basically stay alive long enough to have children. So how you might ask can I gain some insights into what this lifetimes main lessons and challenges are, as it is surely how we respond to and work in closer co-operation with the obstacles placed in our paths which makes us who we are, and gives our lives a meaning and purpose as well.

So in summary the main purpose of your life is to discover in the classroom of hard knocks what your life purpose is through living it. As you have grown up you have taken on certain interests which seem to fit you like a glove. You may have an urge to travel to distant countries to broaden your horizons, but not yet have the income to be able to do it. Maybe your love of travel could lead you to study a foreign language and look for a job where you could actually get paid good money for doing what you love.

The reading is not as I explained trying to suggest what jobs you might like to look at as your future career, but more at those interests. Is there any rule which says that you could only express your need to travel through the type of paid work you do? Could there be other alternate outlets for this in your life other than through earning your daily bread? Could and this is the punch line you use your desire to travel as a signpost to what your soul purpose rather than your life purpose is?

Travelling abroad may not just be for a holiday. It could instead be used to do research for your next book.  As a writer of non fiction or in some cases as the author of a children's book, some other deeper need  for you to spread your ideas or to bring out the best in other people may be satisfied at the same time.

Your reading is only using this process of following back the thread from your interests to your soul purpose of you wanting to travel to distant lands as an example. It could instead be the need to relieve the suffering of other people and animals as a healer, having a burning interest in digging up fossils, wanting to teach and inspire the next generation or wanting to be the first person to leave our solar system (which you must admit is way out travelling).

With each of these interests comes associated opportunities and challenges. You cannot have opportunities without the corresponding challenges and risks which are always involved when taking on these challenges. Sorry, life just does nor work that way. In return for your question what is my life or soul purpose you are being asked to respond to the specific challenges and risks which your interests are now and will be in the future presenting you with in a balanced and mature manner.

How you respond to those challenges or risks and seize the opportunities when you have them will eventually reveal a much larger part of your life purpose than simply what job you will be doing at the time. The first step is to remove the label of loser from your forum profile, because it is not worthy and representative of a person of your significant courage and perseverance in the face of adversity.

Loser is a label which you could be only hanging around your own neck so that the people around you do not expect too much of you, feel sorry for you, and do it for you so that you cannot lose. But you also can never win or be a winner this way. Discard this negative restricting label both in your forum profile as well as in your mind ASAP, is your reading's first and final advice to you for this month.

Blessings in abundance,

EoT :smt051

http://www.befrienders.org/  is a very good link for those who are in need of help and who are feeling suicidal and require help now
Stephanie,

Being chronically depressed and being highly suicidal are clearly not the same thing. Be certain that you understand how big the difference is between them, before asking for any psychic readings.

At different times in my own life I have experienced both conditions, so I feel better qualified than many people are to tell one mental state from the other.

I will of course continue to do whatever I am able to help and support you through these readings, but they were never intended to be a substitute for you getting professional advice and if required appropriate treatment from a qualified GP or specialist.

Being chronically depressed especially over an extended period of time is bad enough in itself, but constant thoughts of taking ones own life must be fully investigated as soon as possible as ignoring them could have fatal consequences. Many of them are really a desperate final call for help, which may or may not arrive quickly enough to save you.

If you are feeling blue or depressed then I feel that a reading might help you in some situations, but if you do ever reach the point where you feel that you simply cannot go on any longer and you actually begin planning the details of how you will end it, please promise me not to ask for a reading, but instead get to your doctor ASAP.

If you are truly in the highly depressed state of mind where you cannot see any other options than destroying yourself, then a reading could well end up doing more damage than good.

Both the negative thoughts themselves as well as your aura's low energy state could potentially leave you dangerously vulnerable not only to other people's negativity, but also in some cases to lower astral thought forms and entities which will take any opportunity given to them to manipulate people like yourself to do whatever they want you to do.

This would then be outside of my area of knowledge, as well as beyond my ability to help you any further.

Love, Light and Healing,

EoT

I didn't ask for the reading to help my suicidal thoughts. Though today I almost did commit suicide til I pulled "The Devil" from the tarot deck asking it where I would go. (same thing happened over a year ago when I asked) and talking to my intuitive friend, who says I'll go to limbo. I've come to an understanding that when I'm going through pain I understand why I'm going through it and see it as a test and I get stubborn and upset (Well I use to get stubborn... I'm kind of use to it now) and refuse to do what needs to be done... and instead stunt my growth. . . It also makes it impossible for me to cry because I see it as karma and i understand the lessons that are to come from it and... yeah well I'm bi polar and this could be part of it?? though I have a theory that when we die we will still be the same person.. (i'm schizophrenic kinda... but I think that has to do with not protecting myself back when I use to be alot more intuitive.) I am actually getting help from a professional though. I'm on meds... just I've gone through so many and i'm about to get even another new one on wednesday... this actually is my biggest worry in life and what my tarot readings concern me with the most. Always promising me that I am strong enough to not slip... but I still worry about it all the time.. I mean c'mon look at today... I slip.. so easily. I had it all planned out to end my life tonight or tomorrow.

Just like the rest of us, in so many ways

Post by eye_of_tiger » Tue Feb 12, 2013 11:31 pm

Dear Stephanie,

This is a reading and not a discussion forum, so this will be the final posting of this series.

This thread will be closed after I have finished saying what I want to, but it does not mean that I am giving up on helping and supporting you in the future, as I have always tried my best to do in the past.

The suicidal thoughts, your bipolar disorder, your religious beliefs and all the rest are a part of what makes you the person whom you are.

Although you are much more than all of them put together.

It is therefore reasonable and proper that any reading about or for you will include these as factors which are affecting your life.

Any reading which ignores them is unlikely to serve any useful purpose in helping you to eventually have a happier and healthier life.

You should already know my attitudes about the potential dangers of giving yourself readings, when you are too close and therefore also too emotionally involved with the outcome of the reading to be able to do it objectively.

In a depressed state of mind you will always tend to give the most negative interpretation to any of the Tarot cards which you have drawn.

Coloured by your belief that The Devil card in the Tarot represents Satan.

Whether or not you are schizophrenic, bipolar, chronically depressed or have suicidal tendencies, I regard you as a friend and a good and decent young woman, so why should you be surprised or be offended when I offer you advice which I feel is in your best interests?

It is now entirely up to you to decide what you want to and will do with the advice and insights which you have been given in the true spirit of love and caring (if anything) on this forum, but whatever your decision is please do not kill this humble messenger.

I genuinely hope that this upcoming medication change will bring things back under control and into better balance long enough for you to finally recognise that you have a lot of friends on Mystic Boards who themselves have their own challenges to deal with, but who at the same time see past what you are telling them you are feeling to who you really are deep down  - a beautiful and shining spirit combined with a well meaning and fallible human being who is doing her very best with the cards that life has dealt her.

Just like the rest of us, in so many ways!

Love, Light and Healing,

From your loyal and caring friend EoT  :smt007
