Dad may be ill
My Dad is going in for a CT scan today.
I am wondering whether he is ill and what's going on with his health.

I am so sorry that you Dad may be ill, I know how worrying it can be when our loved ones need to go for tests like this.
I know that Eye of Tiger will be along later to explain that we can't give a reading about this but I wanted to let you know as soon as possible.
If you read this post here http://mysticboard.org/vi ... hp?t=73424 you will see that we can't give any medical diagnosis or reading about health.
However, I really wish you and your Dad the best and hope that everything goes smoothly :)

Hi,
How old is your Dad?
What particular symptoms have lead to your father's doctor ordering a CT scan for him today?
My advice on this basis would be for a CT scan to be done of the entire abdominal area, although my initial impressions are that it is nothing too serious.
Only the CT scan and other pathology tests can can really help his doctor determine what is really going on, and guide him towards the appropriate treatment if required.
All the best for today,
EoT :)

Intuitively scanning his body, my attention keeps being drawn back towards both his kidneys and lower back region.WHAT WE ARE ALLOWED TO DO - Intuitive body scanning to help locate possible problem areas so that you can decide if you need to see your doctor.

Thanks for your response.
My Dad is in his late 60s.
He decided to seek medical attention because he has two large, firm mounds on either side of his stomach, on his sides and radiating towards his belly button.
He said they don't hurt but sometimes feel tender and he also experiences back pain.
He had bloodwork done which indicated elevated sugar levels.
His CT scan should be back Thursday.
Intuitively I was thinking he may have an issue with his kidneys as well.
I was feeling maybe some inflammation or similar issues.

Thanking you for your feedback.
It is interesting that both of us are intuitively feeling that his kidneys may be somehow involved.
To be honest I hope that we are wrong about this, but if we are right at least there is some comfort in knowing that the condition has been detected at a relatively early stage.
Elevated blood sugar levels only further confuse the diagnosis.
Please let me know as soon as his CT scan results are in.
Regards,
EoT

His doctor called about his CT scan. He has smaller cysts on his right kidney and complex kidney cysts on his left kidney. They are going to refer him to a specialist because they are concerned that the complex cysts could be or turn into cancer.
I suppose my initial impression of inflamation wss somewhat correct given that cysts are flid filled sacs. I honestly dont feel like they are cancerous. I feel rather calm about the whole sitautaion and dont feel any dread or negative feelings. I just want to be sure my feelings arent misleading me.
If you have any other indications or feelings please let me know!
I will update as I have more information. Thank you!

Unfortunately we were both right about his kidneys being affected, although the news could have been much worse than it is.
The complex cysts could potentially turn into cancer at a later date, so your father's doctor through the specialist is going to carefully monitor the situation to see if they will eventually develop into cancers.
Precancerous does not actually mean that there is any cancer there now. Just that there are some abnormal cells present which need to be watched over time just in case. Better to catch anything as early as possible. Gives the maximum chance that any required treatment will be 100% successful.
A large proportion of cysts on the kidneys or on other organs are completely benign (not cancer), but they may still need to be surgically removed, because they can grow bigger and spread over time and press on other important structures close to where they are. Such as blood vessels, nerves and surrounding cells which have no space left around them to function normally.
Take care,
EoT

Also my own feelings.I feel rather calm about the whole situation and don't feel any dread or negative feelings.
I believe that your feelings are not misleading you, mainly because I am having exactly the same feeling of general calmness about your father's whole situation.I just want to be sure my feelings aren't misleading me.
That is unlikely because in order to help other members I first need to effectively put your father's situation completely out of my mind so that there is room now for their situation (understood?), but I will certainly let you know if I get any unexpected feeling updates. If you have any other indications or feelings please let me know!
Take care,
EoT
