Since you said you was new to Tarot, I would start with RW or a clone from there.
This because you find most written material on those deck.
When you start to feel confident....start to look out for decks that speak to you....this is different from Reader to Reader...and what preferance they have.
Many use meditation over each card to broaden their knowledge of the card, this is why it's important that You feel good with them

Waite Deck
Might add , along with Waite deck, you also read: The Pictorial Key to the Tarot, Arthur Edward Waite. You will obtain an unbelieveable amount of information verses the little white booklet that comes with deck.
