Chevai(Mars) resides in my house (Meethunam=Gemini)

Dear Sir,
My birth star is punarpoosam and my raasi(Zodiac sign) is Meethunam=Gemini. In accordance with south indian Zodiac, I should get a good job by this year. But the planet Chevai(Mars) resides in my house Meethunam (4ht house in Tamil Zodiac). It seems that Chevai (Mars) is capable of extending the stay in my house for 6 months. The usual transit period for Mars is one and half month per house.  What sort of harm will be caused by mars ? Please advice. I am an IT professional in Singapore and aggressively looking for a break through in my job search.
