There are unlimited possiblites to tap into but:
-You need to go with the flow! Do not set fixed schedules  or have rigid expectations;
-Take a risk, do not seek to know it all in advance ..
-Trust your inner voice, this is not the time to use logic and rationale

Faith.
Trust.
Listening to your inner voice.
If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it!

The Fool

Post by Infinitim » Fri Mar 16, 2007 1:43 pm

THE FOOL

Keyword: Unknowable Life/Death
Formative Symbolism: the Intemporal: beyond thought: One
Infinite creative energy of intermittant life-death, beyond thought, beyond knowing. All that is and all that is not.

Basic Tarot Symbols

The fool in colorful motley clothes, pack tied to a staff, a small dog, a cliff.

Basic Tarot Story

With all his worldly possessions in one small pack, the Fool travels he knows not where. So filled with visions and daydreams is he, that he doesn't see the cliff he is likely to fall over. At his heel, a small dog harries him (or tries to warn him of a possible mis-step).
(Personal Observation:  The small dog can be anything in nature from birds and other animals, to people, to the small voice inside that speaks to us either confirming or cautioning us of our choices)

Basic Tarot Meaning

At #0, the Fool is the card of infinite possibilities. The bag on the staff indicates that he has all he need to do or be anything he wants, he has only to stop and unpack. He is on his way to a brand new beginning. But the card carries a little bark of warning as well. Stop daydreaming and fantasising and watch your step, lest you fall and end up looking the fool.

****Note:  In Carlos Suares' analysis of the Tarot he cautions on the misnumbering of The Fool card adding that since Aleph the first letter in the Hebrew Alphabet which corresponds to The Fool card has a value of one (1) then the value of the card must be accordingly one (1).
