question about Kua chart

I notice in the Kua chart, it does not give any colors to use or avoid in the
mishaps, illness, obstacle or total loss areas.  What should be done in these areas? For instance I believe my mishaps area in my home would be my kitchen as it faces North and that is my area of mishaps according to the Kua chart. What can I do to avoid mishaps in that area?
