WHAT ARE COURT CARDS AND THEIR MEANINGS

ACES:
Aces are the root force. They are the spark. They always represent positive energy; denote strength, gift, driving force and new consciousness. Relate them to the Magician, who presents the tools to the Fool. They have no purpose yet, but are filled with raw potential. They are the active energy of the suit ready to be used. They can also indicate direction or season, though which stands for which is often debated. Here are the "usual" directions and seasons.

KING:
This is the masculine card and shows authority and control, boldness, leadership, maturity and will power. Their element is fire, their driving force is passion. They are the motivating force. They are energy, leading,  planners, commanders, creators, the one who rallies everyone together. They indicate new motivation, a beginning or start of something.


QUEEN:
This is feminine card and shows visible form to an idea, feelings and self expression, the subconscious mind, love, maturity and intuitions.  The Queen is the one who will make it real.  Their element is water. They signify the creative force. They indicate growth and development, a time when the Querent is making things real.

KNIGHTS:
They represent strong energy and spirit, chivalry, reliability, confident, cautious and romantic side of nature.  They spread the idea, spirit of the teenager, all about changes.  Their element is air. The Knights are never still.  They signify movement and travel. They represent young adult or teens. Their beliefs are pure, less cynical and fiercer powerful and loyal.

PAGE:
They represent adventure, enthusiasm, a messenger, trustworthy, truthful, noble intention and diplomacy. Their element is Earth. They indicating something young, and full of possibilities and suggest messages or about to receive a message.
