its funny that you seem to think that you have different meanings, nope not really!  you sound right on and its mirrors alot of what some have said for the deck you are using.  :smt002  a very good job!
although there is some differences then others doesn't make you wrong.
of course Gem, our teacher, is right... its about what you feel and not what anyone else feels!

good luck!  :smt006

this is fascinating. I'm interested in learning Tarot but am a bit overwhelmed. Do you need to have any kind of psychic ability to do this or can just anyone jump in?

Hi Bright Light Don't worry about catching up, just go at your own pace and enjoy the course,  which deck are you going to be using?

After doing some research I think I'd like to start with the Rider-Waite deck (sp?) It seems to be user friendly and widely used. If I really get into this I'm sure then I'd end up being more unique decks for the sake of collecting them.

I've had some really "off" tarot readings in the past so I guess a part of me wants to see for myself what's behind this artform. Like in most things in life a reading is only as good as the reader and the connection that the two of you have.

Brilliant :) You might like to look at the other 'waite' decks too. Rider is the publisher, Waite is the creator, so you could also look at the Radiant Waite, Golden Waite or Universal Waite, they are all slightly differently drawn and coloured and so are more modern and friendlier than the original. Its up to you  :)
