My apologies, I should have stated it was the Rider Waite Original deck.

Well, am not going round again per say, but a revision always helps and it is also good to realise how differently the cards talk to oneself after doing theory and combining it with practice. I find the tarot is a constant education; always something new to see and discover. If you dont mind, Gem, I will partake or even be a silent participant to this course as when I feel it 'talks' to me and I promise I will not sound Mr. Know-it-All in front of the newcomers. I am still learning......:-) :-)

Since I have done this already before beginning the class, I wanted to share.
Each card to me holds many secrets, questions, answers and possibilities.  The one that has been the strongest feeling has been the 3 of pentacles.  I have even written down in a Tarot study note book which I am keeping, sorta like a Tarot of Shadows.

Everything I see in this card tells me that we must ask or seek answers where we have questions & are not quite sure if we are correct in our decisions.  If you are unsure of the right decision then you must be willing to ask for guidence.  The pentacle, itself holds very powerful strength and when asked it will guide us to the answers in which we seek.  We must not be afraid to ask or seek guidence.  The things which we seek is always lying just in front of us in plain site, but sometimes we are unable to see them.  We have to be balanced in our thinking and in our judgements for should we misjudge and make the wrong decision on our own without asking, it could be a very distrubing answer which we get.  By asking our guider to help us in seeking the truth or the correct answer, then we are going in the right direction.  It's like a string hanging on a hem, if we pull that string, it could unravel and the entire garmet can just fall apart, but if we bound it first with new thread and then remove the old thread, it will stay together as it was meant to be.

I hope this makes sence and please tell me if I am in anyway wrong in my thinking.

:smt103  Hi, windspirits! I love seeing your avatar: that little witch really makes smile  :smt083

The 3 of Pentacles is a very interesting card: it usually makes me think about vocational jobs or studies and the joy we can get out of them. And, guess what? I have done two practice 3-card readings in the homework threads today and this card came up in both! :smt107 And I swear I fully shuffled, since I usually spread them all face down on the table and swirl them around while thinking about the question and the layout positions.

I had never thought of it as asking for guidance, but I can see how it makes sense, even though I usually get some Majors when in need of that specific meaning, like the High Priest or the Hermit.

There are no right or wrong meanings, as far as I can tell. It is only natural that some cards will call more than others to any specific person, depending on their life experience and convictions. Anyway, I like your views on  this cards and on the deck in general. Hope to see more of your posts  :smt006

Thanks, I wonder if I am in the right place though.  I am sorta confused as to where I am really supposed to be and to start.
I am not quite sure if this is the first lesson beginning or somewhere in the middle.  Would somebody please clarify.  I did get
an email from Gem with a link and this is where it brought me, but I seem to be missing some things.
