tarot study

Post by netthef1 » Tue May 29, 2007 1:31 pm

i,m back how is everything well i checked hese cards out studyed them and this is what i came up with i think in my mind i came close it all depends what the question would have been.

2 Of cups is the begining of a relationship. Or a reconciliation Or relationship undergoing difficulty or seperation
2 Of wands heralds the formulation of a new aim, idea, goal or creative project.the individual should take the idea up with both hands and to put faith in the invisable creative power which has generated thevision of the new path.
2 Of swords The mental powers are awakening and this means change in ones life. The old order is threatnd and conflicks are bound to arise.
2 Of penticals is a time when money and energy are likely to be avable for new projects that might lead to a rewarding future

Hi Netthef, welcome back, Nice ideas about the two's :)

You seemed to have jumped from the High Priestess Major Arcana which is part one card 2 to The Minor Arcana card 2 lol,  I have copied the Way map below and I think your next part is 3&4 which is in bold Emperor and Empress? You will find it much easier to follow the plan :) Let me know if you get a problem.

Hi

It seems that some people are getting lost and so I have put this post here with a ll the links to the lessons in order. Please bear in mind that as people reply to posts so they rise back up to the top of the board. All the classes and cards are numbered and should be read through and worked on in sequence. It helps if you keep a list or not of which cards you have done and they are best all done in sequence so that as your knowledge grows the easier cards are worked on first and then the harder ones.

for sure do what is best for you, even if that means dropping out.  but please don't get so confused or upset, we are all here to help and if you need more help to keep track of the lessons i'm sure Gem would help and i know i will do anything that helps you keep track of the lessons.

Gem said you left off with the "2 The High Priestess" so your next part of the lesson is the
"3 & 4 Empress and Emperor"
http://mysticboard.org/vi ... hp?t=24658

i would be glad to respond to each of your finished lessons with a link to the next one, if that would help!  its a little confusing at first.

as for keeping up, don't worry about that, work on the lessons at you own pace, there is no hurry.  i know Gem reads all, i read all and looks like a couple more students read the new post to the lessons so you for sure will get feedback and help if needed.

no preasure just a friendly hi and helping hand   :smt006

For sure, sign in and have the computer "remember you" this will keep you logged in at all times (assuming your computer is set up to allow "cookies" to be accpeted which is what allows you stay logged in).
then when you get any emails then it will take you to the right post.  this is what i do.  i'm use to forums like these but i even got lost several times finding where the lessons are and so on.  it takes a little getting use and find your away around.
will post more on this later. i've got to get ready for work and get out the door!   :smt012

Thanks George :)

Netthef, I do understand its hard, in fact, it is getting harder all the time to find the new posts. We are open to suggestions about how to make it all easier and there are plans for a 'Key Page' software that will take you straight to the next lesson. I am thinking about a new idea where each student has their own thread and then I can post their next class on that, but it might mean me posting each lesson hundreds of times rather than having one lesson we all join in with, hmm  will have to put my thinking cap on, and George!! you too lol please! Any ideas greatfully received.  Please don't drop out, maybe take it slow and one step at a time, I am sure youwill manage :)

i know i said i would get back to this yesterday but had a very hard day and it just didn't seem like it was going to end and i felt i was too angry to reply, so i waited to cool down and post today!  :smt003

what else i do is i save the link for "Tarot Homework" so when i come to the site i go directly to where Gem has posted our lessons.  that has helped me a lot until i got use to how all the forums where set up and where to find things.

you could also save the Map page link and click on that and you will see the lessons posted.

some ideals would be to email all students sign up a "Private Messages" on this site notifaction of lessons.  not sure how partical that is seems like a lot of work.
now if every students posted a message in "Tarot Class 2007 - Way Map" or so post along that lines and they could get notifaction that a new message has been posted in their private emails accoutns well at least that how i have mine set up.  that's how i do when people have posted in old lessons so i can go back and read them

will give more thought to this and see what i can think of. :smt006

Two's, each card shows a very similar yet vastly different experience?
Balance of finance in the Pentacles?
Exchange of love in Cups
Decisions and planning in wands
Protection and shielding in swords.

Which is your favourite from these cards?

What emotions does each one make you feel?

Using one or two words can you describe each one?
Yes, lovely cards and here are two words to describe each "two":

Pentacles:  juggling act
Cups: give and take (sorry, that's 3 words!)
Wands:  contemplation, indecision
Swords:  truce, stand-off

And the emotions these images bring up:

Pentacles:  juggling between home and career - stressful
Cups:  feeling love - giving it and receiving it
Wands:  weighing options (what will happen if I choose this wind and not the other one?)
Swords:  Laying down my "weapons" to decide what to do.  Blocking out outside influences, temporary end of conflict.

Warmest,
Weezer

2 OF PENTACLES
Unsure of a financial situation or in a relationship sense, finding it difficult to choose between 2 people.

2 OF CUPS
Happy in love, new experience and sharing between two people.

2 OF WANDS
Struggling to make a decision, weighing up a lot of options.

2 OF SWORDS
Not seeing the obvious, not showing your true self - hiding behind a mask

im using the farber zerner deck so my answers may be different.

I like the 2's of wands and cups. exciting stuff.

2 cups (hearts my deck) a heart that is full. Beginning of relationship
2 wands rewards ahead but  it's time to stop and plan
2 pentacles the snakes remind me it is  time to make wise decisions. changes
2 swords. balance. there are things going on around but now is the time to stop and reflect on course of action.

My favourite from these cards is the Two of Swords.  I think we find ourselves in this kind of situation once in awhile, we all have to face the truth sooner or later in certain situations, and I feel this card has determination and strength even if it is turned inwards.

Two of Pentacles makes me feel that the juggling can't go on forever, a mistake will be made and I will drop one of the balls.
Two of Cups makes me feel that there is balance between the couple, united, and give and take from each person to each other.
Two of Wands makes me feel that there is a decision to be made, should I stay where I am? where there is security (one wand bolted to the wall) or make a move to new horizons, but where there is an element of risk, not knowing what the ships will bring in.
Two of Swords makes me feel that I am at a stalemate, I have a blindfold on because for the moment I can't make the decisions that need to be made because they are too painful to face. If I can't see them they may go away!

Two of Pentacles: Juggling & finances. :smt003
Two of Cups: giving & receiving.  :smt008
Two of Wands: decisions & security (one wand bolted to the wall):smt017 Two of Swords: Stalemate & standstill. :smt102

Two's

What emotions does each one make you feel?
I feel that the Two’s somehow indicate a sense of control.

Which is your favourite from these cards?
2 of Cups!!

Using one or two words can you describe each one?
2 of pentacles shows you can maintain control by balancing.
2 of cups shows you can maintain control by either cooperation and by not forcing another into something.
2 of wands shows you can maintain control by using power.
2 of swords shows you are trying to maintain control by blocking your emotions and avoidance.
