so glad your dog is better. hugs to both of you.
Living "in the country" and had animals, flea control was a huge issue. My step-dad (a rancher all his life) used garlic oil in the dog's food to help ward off fleas. Much nicer than chemicals. Even my mostly housebound dogs and cats, I use garlic oil. Seems to help tremendously.
just a thought.
good wishes to you.

hi molissa
yeah, good idea ...i dislike chemicals and will even hold out til last before using meds on myself. i always been a herbalist, and beleive in natural cures..i have rubbed garlic paste...into his coat, bit yucky but i think was warding them off..... trouble is they hard to find in carpets etc and regenerate from a small group......i even give him garlic pieced in food..... used apple cyder vinegar lots too.... now its me has sniffles from today and dry throat.....just had him to vets and back.... he ok.... she think just anal glands need cleaning.........Thanks to you and....everyone for being so human to me:) PAUL
Paul,
I don't know where you live, but if you can get hold of diatameceous earth (in a very fine powder form) sprinkle in his coat, and in your carpets and vacuum frequently. DE is used for swimming pool treatments and other stuff. However, it also makes a great insecticide. Non harmful to mammals. (do NOT use in an aquarium or put into public ponds as it will kill fish). Another of the non chemical/ natural methods. I may have misspelled it but you should be able to find on the net.
good luck.
