Let me ask you
Can you chose to take a right swing...or a left swing....or go straight ahead ?
Do you have to stop for some " unplanned work" ? Do you have to take a detour that are made by work for a house or a road?
Do you have the ability to stop and talk with people when you feel for it, or is it automatic stop and everything you shall say is predetermined?
Do all you fell in love with, or like, do the same to you...
When you travel on Holiday....do you have any choices where to go?
If life is predetermined, then it must be so for all people on earth...for all animal on earth...everything has to go like a tooted wheel, and if changes is made..the wheel will collapse.
We are 6,5 billion people and maybe still more animals, we have winds, we have storms, we have snow and ice, all that can change the pattern of one or more humans, which will lead to change in the crank and in the end a collapse.
So I think we have a Free will, this free will makes us as unique persons, which make us unpredictable, even if some forecast can be given on some criteria, but they will never be 100% and will never fit all.
If our life was predetermined, then we all should have relaxed, and followed the flow, because everything was bound to happen, and there was no room for personal initiative, because that again would destroy the gear

we are spiritual beins, living in a physical bodies, gifted with the ability to think, and our thougths comand our emotions, therefore we have the power to create our lives, and our lives is a result of our past thoughts and feelings, so in order to create a better life we have to think right now the life that we want to live.

There is a combination of the 2. We plan, with our spirit guides, what we hope to learn and accomplish on this earth before we arrive. What lesson we'd like to learn. Once we arrive, there is free will and choice, and always a 'what if' situation. However we will always arrive at the ultimate lesson to be learned, be it unconditional love, forgiveness of oneself, how to be a compassionate caregiver...or take our turn to be the one cared for. Even perceived 'ugly' situations coudl have been pre-planned as a lesson. Death of a child, accident, etc. The planned part is the lesson to be learned. Free will & choice enter into it after that, but never fear. Our spirit guides are always watching and have our best interests at hand.
