Crystal/Stone Identification?

Post by moonlapsevertigo » Wed Apr 07, 2010 7:53 am

Could anyone possibly tell me what type of stone this is? I have yet to be able to identify it - probably because I am quite new to crystals for the most part  :smt003

I would say this stone is carnelian/agate. Carnelian is usually sold in metaphysical stores as a solid orange stone but it is actually part of the agate family so that's why your stone is banded.

It looks much more like a Mookaite, Carnelian is rarely that distinct in the mix of colours and rarely translucent white like that either.
A cascade of light shone down on me, then the angels spoke, and set me free,

I had to look up that Crystal and yes it does look like that picture except polished. If it is, it is rare and is a mixture of Bressiated Jasper and Drusy Quartz.
