Gone is the girl you've come to know,

Gone she's been for so very long.

Now she's just a shell of what use to be.

Now what's going on inside of that sweet smile that she shows off.

She wants you to think that she's alright,

but deep down inside she cries for all the wrong she's been doing.

She has been nothing but confused, her inside's turn to ice.

If only you knew the truth & see that she's just Pretending To Be the girl that you love.

She'll smile & act all happy, but she does this to keep you thinking all's well.

But now she's only Pretending To Be the one you think you need.

Beware, watch out, this little angel is gonna break your heart, your missing all the signs because your heart is laying in her hands.

She's just Pretending To Be, she's a fantasy an actress from the beginning.

She plays her part so very well so that you could never tell.
