ESTRANGEMENT (aka, THE CHILD OF IMMIGRANTS)

A little child brought by his parents
To his future home and land to be
Choice was never a question or consideration for the child
Such was the trust and acceptance that love assumes naturally.

The tiny one grew up, as most eventually do, and one evening ...
He wondered about the origins of his parents. Suddenly, he realized that...
They always sounded different from himself and his ‘peers’, his people...
Were the parents different or was he?

Parents gone, as too vanish roots frail and fragile ...
The journey then began again
As must have been so many times, beyond RECALL or recollection
Until anger of alienation subsides and illusion of *separation* too!
