Eve and the New Year


Good-bye to what once was the dreams in my heart.
May I increase you multiplying my visions I sought.
Through all my tribulations and trifling wars fought.
I welcome this new year as a step up to a fresh start.

Here I can be me or I can see where I am all torn apart.
A New Year is awaiting the new breaths to be caught.
Each one a valuable improvement empowered or not.
Weighing your own baggage is a tipped scale to mart.

The big dipper and Orion’s belt hold a world wide net.
So I look for the shiniest Star and a form takes a place.
It is a window of the next twelve months already beset.
Now I can fall upon shadows and cover the whole race.

But I will appear and disappear because my own ship I steer.
Eve and the New Year I’m near at the rear because I’m clear.
