HAIKU - "If all religions can be accepted"

Post by Jayashree Ravi » Sun Feb 05, 2017 8:33 pm

I wrote this short Haiku for this picture for some poetry competition last year.

If all religions could be equally accepted, then -
ZamZam's invigorating water
Zealously enters the shrine at Tirupathi, and
Prayers to the almighty at the mosque, make
Punishments seem much lighter than what they are!

About the picture: This picture was popularly published all over South Indian when few burkha-clad Muslim women visited the Balaji temple at Tirupathi on some specific holy day last year to collect the holy water offered at the sanctum.

Better to respect people than religions.
