This would only likely work if your digestion issue was related to a shortage of the one or more of the substances found in them, in relatively large amounts. If you have some digestion issue than you should eat mangoes
Eating too many mangoes in one session could potentially cause more digestion issues than it helps.
http://www.nutrition-and-you.com/mango-fruit.htmlMango fruit is rich in pre-biotic dietary fiber, vitamins, minerals, and poly-phenolic flavonoid antioxidant compounds. Several trial studies suggest that polyphenolic anti-oxidant compounds in mango are known to offer protection against breast and colon cancers.

This dubious information has been copied from one website to another all over the internet, but so far I am having difficulty finding the carefully designed scientific studies on which this claim is meant to be based.mango fruit has been found to protect against colon, breast, leukemia and prostate cancers.
My advice would be to enjoy eating your mangoes as part of a balanced diet, but not to depend entirely on their consumption to protect you from developing any form of cancer.
Better to be safe than sorry?

If you like eating mangoes and they are indeed exceptionally high in Vitamin C (~36.4 mg /100g) enjoy them in moderation, and all their other many claimed benefits will come as a bonus.
Evidently although the cold winter temperatures (and frost) in the San Francisco area can make growing mangoes challenging to say the least, some enterprising gardeners have had some success by not allowing the trees to fruit until they first have plenty of foliage growth.
