Any advice on birth control related pain.

Post by Pook » Wed Nov 14, 2007 9:36 pm

I have polycystic ovarian syndrome and in my case I had never ending periods. Recently they started me on a new birth control to regulate it and I have been having the worst pain in my pelvis, my ovaries, and uterus from it. There are twinges all month but it is the worst during the period. The doctor didn't feel that the cons outweighed the pros of being on the pill and so prescribed me motrin 800mg pain medication. Are there any other ways to control the pain?

Pook,

Just a suggestion. You might want to try looking for a fertility board. You might find some women who have similar issues and can advise better. Try Fertility Thoughts. Doctors are great guessers. If all else, get a second medical opinion. Hope all fairs well.
I am just like you.

Thank you, I just figured maybe people here had some natural ideas, etc.
