Exercise during pregnancy

Post by symulhaque » Sun Feb 24, 2013 6:29 pm

Many women get frightened to have exercise during pregnancy. But Exercising during pregnancy can help you prime your body and strengthen your core for childbirth.

Some women have every good reason to be frightened to have the types of exercise which they push on TV.

Exercise or lack of it must be carefully customized for the woman's and the baby's medical conditions and the mother's current level of fitness. Also whether there are are any family history problems with her staying pregnant, and twins or triplets.

Some women become diabetic or develop dangerously high blood pressure only during their pregnancy.

Not taking all these and many more factors into account in designing a healthy and safe exercise program for the mother to be could have fatal consequences.

There is no one exercise programme which suits every pregnant woman.

So I can only agree with your statement, up to the point that any exercise carried out during pregnancy must have careful medical supervision, and a thorough examination for possible problems developing, well before the actual birth.

Thank you for your positive reply. Every mother wants to give birth of a healthy child. So all the pregnant women should try exercising.

Every mother wants to give birth of a healthy child.
Absolutely! Could not agree more with that statement.

But in this imperfect world when the child does not always turn out to be healthy or normal, we must not automatically blame it on the poor mother, without first thoroughly studying all the facts.

Gentle regular exercise highly customized to each pregnant woman's needs and condition and progress, when combined with other factors such as a healthy diet and periods of relaxation and positive thinking can be very beneficial for both the mother and her baby in increasing the chances that they will both be happy and healthy.

But nothing can guarantee that even if the mother does all of these things well throughout her entire pregnancy, that her baby will always or must always turn out to be healthy and normal.
