Introspection

The word "Philosophy" is derived from the Ancient Greek - philosophía (compounded from phílos: friend, or lover and sophía: wisdom). To quote from WikiPedia, "Philosophy is the discipline concerned with the questions of what is the right way to live (ethics), what sorts of things ultimately exist and what are their essential natures (metaphysics), what is to count as genuine knowledge (epistemology), and what are the correct principles of reasoning (logic).

It seems in society of this period -- introspection [The contemplation of your own thoughts and desires and conduct]--- is used too little.

Too much introspection could however be a detriment --- if one did not accomplish those task needing to be accomplished---too much would be a detriment

If one does not experience , one cannot  feed the fodder of introspection... we only have this moment and  what is outside of us mirrors our insides so ying yang...its all about balance dontcha think?

We must not only work on ourselves in the cave and in the market place as well. Next is balancing. Balancing is Maya. The balancing comes when one surrenders balancing. I don't know whats too much.

Dear Poppa,

Experiencing and Expressing make the circle come alive
The circle or else -- shall turn into a spiral
That observed erstwhile shall receed farther in distance
Until it shall be not seen anymore and become totally lost!

Thank you for continuing to share your love and wisdom incessantly with all of us brats here some of whom have the smarts to see what you are up to and the guts to thank you for making the time for that.

Hugs,

You are so right Stan :)

I think it is called "Eye of the beholder" and can take many shapes and opinions...not all of them with Grace.....but who define who?... :)

Many a riddle are told. Many a fool fall. Many a proud man has turned his back. Many a man has claimed all to his own.

Yet the truth remains the truth.
